Microsoft Comic Chat On Windows 7 & 8.

Microsoft Comic Chat was chat program that was included in Windows 95, 98 and Windows ME.
In which you could connect to IRC servers. You could choose to run it in Comic Strip or Plain text mode.

I have installed it here on Windows 7 and 8 and it works. There are some bugs as crashes when I try to connect to Freenode but it connects to most IRC servers.

Here it is on Windows 7. You can select different backgrounds and comic characters as seen here.

Microsoft Chat on Windows 7.

If you are connecting to IRC channels it is better to select plain text as a lot of channels don't support comic text mode.  But it's easy to change settings.

And here it is running on Windows 8.

You should also run it in compatibility mode for Windows 95 as I did.

Here it is on Windows 8 in plain text mode.

So  yes it is possible to run Microsoft Chat on windows 7 and 8 though I have not tested it on Windows 10 because I have not go that.

Microsoft Chat can be downloaded from here.
