Beziers is one of them and has been in every version of Windows up to XP but has many features removed. The Windows NT version that was in all NT versions from Windows NT4 to Windows XP displays pretty red lines.
But the older version that was in Windows 95 and all Windows 9x versions including Windows ME displays multiple colors. And you can change the colors to display whatever color you want.
It is called Bezier which is really the same screensaver as the Beziers on Windows NT4, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Except that the settings have been removed from Beziers screensaver.
But you can install the original version on Windows XP.
You just need to copy the SS Bezier.scr Screensaver file from Windows 95 or 95.
Then place it in the C/Windows/System/32 folder on Windows XP and it will run.
Both screensavers also work on Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8.
You need to rename one of the screensavers so they don't conflict.
I like the Windows 95 version better and I have it on both my Windows 7 and 8 computers.
This is Bezier Screensaver from Windows 95 running on my Windows 8. It has the option to change the color of the strips and also to display multiple random colors.
Beziers Screensaver from Windows XP on my Windows 8. As you can see the option to change the color strips is gone. Just plain red lines-Not that red is not nice. I just like the Windows 9x screensaver better of the 2.
Oh and both screensavers work on Windows 8 and Windows XP of course.
The XP version of Bezier starts red, but gradually changes color if you wait a bit.
ReplyDeleteI had a look at that and you are right. The Bezier does change color but only after a long time on screen. Where as the Windows 9x version changes color right away and randomly.
