Use the two hidden media players in Windows XP.

Windows Media Player 9 (WMP 9 for short) is the default version of WMP bundled with all editions of Windows XP. But there are also two earlier versions of Windows Media Player. That can be used the same way you would use the latest version of Windows Media Player. These are Windows Media Player 6.4 and Windows Media Player 5.1. But they are hidden and so do not appear in the start menu with most other installed programs,but here is how to enable and use them.

ICQ no longer lets you log in with your Aim account.

I have not used ICQ messenger for quite some time as I have several Netbooks and have been using Aim Messenger. Well today I used one of my other Netbooks that has ICQ Messenger on it. Although I have an ICQ account I sign in with my Aim account, also Aol email account. But today when I tried to log in with my Aim screen name I found I could not do so. I got a message saying "incorrect log in."

So I tried to sign in with my other Aim account and the same thing happened. I could not sign into ICQ with any of my Aim accounts.

Windows XP in 2011.

I have got three Windows 7 netbooks,all HP Mini 210 with different editions of Windows 7. That is Windows 7 Starter and Windows 7 Professional. And I recently bought another netbook with Windows XP Home Edition, service pack 3. Which I was very lucky to find. Because in England,they are no longer making Windows XP and Windows Vista computers and laptops,only Windows 7. So the Windows XP netbook I bought was the last one they had in the store. I only bought my first laptop a year ago,before that, I was using Internet cafes to write my posts.

How to use Instantbird and Pidgin messengers for IRC chat.

Instantbird and Pidgin messengers are best known for talking to contacts on multi-networks. And they both support Google Talk,MSN,Aim and more. But did you know that you can also use Pidgiand Instantbird to connect to and chat on IRC networks? Until a few days ago, I did not know this myself.Until I searched on the web and found out that you can connect to multiple IRC networks on both messengers.

Flock browser to be discontinued.

I have just been browsing the web to see if there were any updates for my installed version of Mozilla Flock web browser. When I found out from their website that Flock is to be discontinued after 26th April 2011. And they will not be making any more versions, and all updates will stop for both Mozilla Flock 2.6.2, and Flock 3 beta. And there will be no further support for Flock after this date. And this has come as a shock for many users of this web browser.
